Friday Savings

At Walmart today, I spent $55.26 and had $4.98 in coupons. I actually only had to par $35.26 because my husband received a $20 rebate card for something he bought. One of the products I had to buy was cold medicine for my daughter. It's alcohol-free, but the register still asked to verify that I'm older than 18 - I was surprised. Does anyone know why they do that?

At Vons today, I spent $48.64 and saved $43.85, which is 47%. Vons had a lot of great sales today! Safeway juice was on sale for $2, Lucerne ice cream for $2, Lucerne string and stick cheese $2.99, Safeway oatmeal $1.49, Safeway ice cream $1.99, Soft Scrub $1.99 + $.50 coupon which was doubled, thin pork chops $2.49/pound, Kraft mayo. and Miracle Whip $1.99 = $1 coupon, $1.49 Nabisco crackers, $1.49 Prego pasta sauce + $1 coupon to use on my next shopping order, $1.50 hot/lean pockets and $.99/pound yellow sweet onions.

At Ralphs, I spent $6.24 and saved $9.19. A 10 pound bag of Russet potatoes was on sale for $.99, and Pringles for $1.25 + $.75 coupon which was doubled. My 14 year old son will be glad to know Pringles was finally on sale again. He's getting tired of the other chips.
