Friday Savings

Yesterday afternoon at Walgreens, I spent $7.38 and saved $13.52. Kraft macaroni and cheese(for us & give to charity) was on sale for $.69, Betty Crocker cornbread mix(for us & give to charity) $.29, plastic Easter eggs(for the church's hunt) $.69, Hot Wheels buy one get one free at $1.29, Pronamel toothpaste $4.79 + 2 $1 coupons, and Carefree liners(give to charity) $.99 + $.99 register rewards + $.50 coupon. I also had $3 register rewards to use from last time. Has anyone tried the Betty Crocker cornbread mix before? If you have, did you try it as muffins or bread, and which did you prefer?

At CVS, I spent $7.75 and saved $40.04! I think that's the most I've ever saved before! M&Ms were on sale for $1.97 + $1 coupon, Kelloggs cereal(us & give to charity) $1.66 + $1.50 coupon, Peeps $.99, Palmer Easter bunnies $.88, and my rain check from last week for GUM flossers $2 + $2 extra bucks. I also had a $4 off $20 coupon from the internet and $10 in extra bucks from last time.

Today at Walmart, I spent $65.11, used $9 in coupons, and a $10 gift card from filling out a health questionnaire for my husband's work. $36 of this was not for groceries. My husband was with us, so he bought some fish hooks, my son's Percy broke so we bought him a new one, I also needed envelopes and a lingerie bag to wash my daughter's tights and dance shoes in, my son's vitamins, a shaver that ended up being free after the coupon, and a Glade oil warmer(which you will hear about in a review post in the future).

At Ralphs, I spent $11.21 and saved $13.71. Lunchmeat tubs were 50% off + ecoupon for $.75, broccoli and cauliflower $.88/pound, and Gatorade $.79. I also had to buy cheddar fried onions because Walmart didn't have them, but luckily they were on sale for $3.79 + $.75 coupon. I wish I could find an alternative for those fried onions, because they're really expensive. Sometimes I leave things out of recipes, but this one wouldn't be the same without them. I also had a paper coupon for $1 off the lunchmeat, but I couldn't use it since I already had the ecoupon automatically taken off. I asked the cashier if she could use my paper one instead, since it was more money off, but she didn't know how to do that. Oh well!
