My Week

I haven't been able to post about my week, for about 3 weeks, because I had giveaways and reviews to do instead. So, I'll just give you a brief summary of the past 3 weeks.

Thanksgiving week was a nice week because we were all home together. My mother-in-law came from Northern CA for a visit. We all went to see the Charlie Brown Movie together and did a little bit of shopping on Black Friday. She couldn't really buy what she wanted to because it would be hard to bring back on the plane. My daughter, son, and I had fun packing bags for a boy and girl orphan in Mexico. Our church is going to deliver the bags to them. They're filled with the couple of things they requested and a few extras we put in.

The first week of December, my youngest son and I put up the Advent calendar we made. We used scrapbook paper and fancy scissors to cut out a nice background for the Scripture printouts. Then, we attached yarn to our stocking hangers and strung our papers on the line with paper clips. Every night we turn over a card and read the Scripture on the back, telling the Christmas story. Although I have to admit, we sometimes forget, and have to do two in one night. I got the idea from Just A Girl and Her Blog. This week I also subbed 4 days in one classroom because the teacher's mom is on hospice care. It's always good to have a job, but hard knowing under what circumstances.

This past week, I subbed in my son's 3rd grade class, my daughter's orchestra class, and at 3 other schools. It's always fun to sub in my kids' class. My husband rarely goes on a business trip, and he was gone this week for 4 days to Baltimore, Maryland(we live in CA). It was hard having him gone. He had a good trip and was even able to take some time after his meetings were over to visit Washington D.C., and some cousins in VA. I've always wanted to go to Washington D.C., so he took lots of pictures for us.

So, how have you been?
