About the book:
“Would a worm go on a walk, if you could lead him down the street? / Would he wear his tiny tennies, if he had two worm-sized feet?” So begins this humorous and imagintive picture book that introduces children to the idea that animals are uniquely created by a loving and wise God. Would a Worm Go on a Walk?, with its colorful, comical illustrations, is a fresh, fun way to teach young children that God created all things very good. He gave all the animals, and children, too, wonderful qualities and unique strengths. Children will giggle over the ridiculous scenarios presented, and they will come away with the knowledge that we all are loved and special.

The cover of the book is really cute and colorful. The cute worm wearing glasses and tennis shoes really stands out. The back of the cover is the rest of the worm and the scene, so if you open it up, it makes one whole scene. That's a nice touch. The illustrations inside the book are also very cute, beautiful and colorful. I really like the details on the animals' faces. Their facial expressions make the story even more fun.
This book is geared toward ages 4 - 7, but my 9 year old and I read it last night at bedtime and he enjoyed it. He had his Winnie the Pooh sit next to him and answer all the questions posed throughout the story. Of course, he had his stuffed animal answer all the questions wrong, so it was funny reading it with him! My son said, " The book was good and had funny things in it."
My son's favorite page in the book is the one about the turtles. He loves Ninja Turtles, so he loves anything about turtles right now. It's funny because the book asks about if a turtle would skateboard, and that's how Ninja Turtles get around, so he really enjoyed that.
