Every Day with God Devotional for Boys or Girls from Veggie Tales Review & Giveaway #EveryDayWithGod #FlyBy

Every Day with God is the latest 365-day devotional(one for boys and another for girls) from VeggieTales. The updated content and art offer the perfect opportunity for parent and child to share time together each day. Each entry includes a Bible verse, short devotion, Thought of the Day, and prayer. The content will help children learn more about God and develop a daily practice to keep Him close in their lives. The book is perfect for bedtime reading, family devotion time, or as a fresh way to start each day!

The book is a paperback. It is 384 pages. It is for reading ages 4-7.

Here is a picture from our book of Day 1. You can see that it's just the right amount of words for a quick devotional that will keep your kid's attention. It's also a nice clear, bright page without too much going on, so it's easy to read and focus on the devotion.

Here's the top half of the page with the title, verse, and devotion.

Here's the bottom half of the page with the Thought of the Day, Pray Today, and the cute asparagus(whose name we can't recall).

When I opened the package, my son and I were so excited to see Larry and Bob on the front of the devotional. That alone, made my son excited to read it. My 17 year old daughter was surprised to see the updated Veggie Tales characters, since she only remembers the look of the old ones. That night, my son and I read the Day 1 devotional, and have been reading it just about every night since(he's had pneumonia and hasn't wanted to read a couple of nights this week). I read the title, verse, devotion and Thought of the Day, and he says the prayer. He actually looks at it first and then bows his head and recites the prayer. Also, in the devotion, it asks questions, like(in Day 1), "Do you realize how important you are to God?" My son enjoys answering all of those questions. When I asked what he thought of the book, he said, "It was good and he likes Veggie Tales." He also says he likes the verse. He's 9 years old and it says it's for 4-7, but he still liked the book. I enjoy it because it's cute, and it makes him think. The devotions are often what I need to hear too. Last night's verse, Day 21, was, "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all." 2 Thessalonians 3:16 ESV. My son's 2 day follow-up visit for his pneumonia was today, so I definitely needed to feel God's peace.
