Brooklyn Bean Roastery is run by 3 guys from Brooklyn who love coffee. They grew up with an appreciation for quality, originality, and local pride, so their company is based on those values. They only use the highest quality Arabica beans for each of their blends and roast them in New York. Brooklyn is diverse and never boring, so their coffee includes a variety of flavors to suit any palate. Whether you prefer a smooth, mild blend, or a rich, dark roast, Brooklyn Bean Roastery has the perfect blend for you.
I was sent the Mexican Hot Cocoa variety to try. I've never heard of this kind of cocoa before, so I read the ingredients to see what it is. It says it's Mexican spice flavored, which I figure must be due to the cinnamon and cayene pepper that are part of the ingredients.
I received a box of 40 single serve coffee cups that are Keurig compatible.
As you can see, it fits nicely in our Keurig and it comes out looking like delicious, hot cocoa. It smells like cinnamon hot cocoa. My husband and I both tried it. He said it tastes like hot chocolate with hints of spice and cinnamon. He likes it and wants to have it again. I was a little afraid of it because I don't like spicy things, but it smelled so good, I just had to try it. It actually does taste just like my husband said, like cinnamon hot cocoa with hints of spice. However, I did get a weird sensation on my lips and chest as I swallowed it, but that's probably just the cayenne pepper. My husband, who's used to spicy things, said he didn't get any sensation like that.
