Friday Savings

Today at Walmart, I spent $59.45 and had $1.90 in coupons. This week was much better than the last 2 weeks because we didn't need any extra stuff. This week even includes the Christmas dinner that I'm hosting at my house, so I didn't do too bad.

At Vons, I spent $10.45 and saved $6.20, which is 37%. Unfortunately, the sales items were not discounted very much this week. Probably because they know people are going to buy certain things for Christmas dinner so they don't want to mark them down too much - they want to make as much profit as they can. Safeway Bakery cookies were on sale for $1.49, egg nog $2.99, 10 pound potatoes $2.49, and Betty Crocker frosting $1.99.

At Ralphs, I spent $4.18 and saved $4.14, almost 50%. Brown onions were on sale for $.50/pound, Ralphs can vegetables $.50, and Minute Maid orange juice $2.50.

At CVS yesterday, I spent $9.43 and saved $26.37. Even the cashier told me I did a good job! M & Ms were on sale for 2 for $5 + 2 extra bucks + $2 coupon, Whitmans sampler for $.99, Suave kids shampoo 3 for $5, and ThermaCare heat wrap $2.79 + $2.79 extra bucks. I also had $11.99 in extra bucks to use, from previous shopping trips.
