Monday Savings

Today at Stater Bros., I spent $33.11 and saved $28.76. I really saved more, but the vegetables just get entered as the sale price and don't show the savings. Romeros flour tortillas were on sale for $.99, 3 pound bag of Cuties $2.99, General Mills cereal $2.49 + $1 coupon + received a coupon for a free gallon of milk for next time, Michelinas $.50, zucchini $.99/pound, Hillshire Farms lunchmeat $2.49, Mothers and Keebler cookies $1.99 + 2 $1 coupons, and Hostess cakes $1.99.

At Fresh and Easy, I spent $5.36 because their sales prices don't show up on the receipt as sales, they just ring up as the regular price. Their pasta was on sale for $.99, and their tuna for $.69. I am giving all of those items to a charity. I also bought some chocolate covered pretzels for my kids, but they're not on sale.

At Albertsons, I spent $13.37 and saved $14.29, which is 52%. Hunts ketchup and Manwich(1 for us and 1 give to charity) were on sale for $.88; and Rice-a-roni(will give to a charity), Kraft mac and cheese were on sale for $.79, and Goldfish were on sale for $1.00. I also bought egg noodles for $1.99 - luckily they were on sale, because I needed them for tonight's dinner. I was going to buy them at Fresh and Easy for $.99, but I've finally learned that no one ever has egg noodles on sale for $.99. I wonder why? Does anyone know?
