As a Purex Insider, I was sent a box of Honey Roasted Honey Bunches of Oats to try. However, all of the opinions expressed here are my own. Besides Honey Roasted, there is also with Almonds, and Fruit Blends with blueberry or raspberry. The cereal is made of four grains: wheat, oat, corn, and rice, that are all in nice crispy flakes. The cereal also includes crunchy granola bunches. Those grains give the cereal 10 grams of whole grain per serving! Honey Bunches of Oats only has 6 grams of sugar per serving, compared to Honey Nut Cheerios which has 9 grams of sugar per serving. Another added benefit is the cereal is heart healthy because it has 0 grams trans fat, 0 grams saturated fat, and 0 milligrams cholesterol. If you want to find out more information on this cereal go to Honey Bunches of Oats Facebook page.
My husband, 5 year old son, and I all tried the Honey Roasted Honey Bunches of Oats. When I first opened the box and took a whiff, the cereal smelled good, with a slight sweet smell. When I poured it into the bowl, I was a little skeptical, because it isn't the nicest looking cereal, but looks can definitely be deceiving. The cereal tastes delicious! I really like the texture combination of the crispy flakes and crunchy granola bunches. The cereal has just the right amount of sweetness. My 5 year old son even asked for more! My husband also liked the flavor, but he brings the cereal in a plastic bag to eat in the car on his way to work and he said he ended up with cereal all in his car; so it's probably best not to eat this on the go. All 3 of us don't eat our cereal in milk, so I don't know how it is in milk. We will definitely buy this cereal again, and I really want to try the Fruit Blends.
