Plans for the Week

I'm sorry I haven't posted on here in about a month. Life has been pretty busy for us lately. I will keep trying to do my best and post every day.

Here's our Menu for this week:
Sunday - fish and rice
Monday & Tuesday - creamy pasta bake, brussel sprouts
Wednesday & Thursday - grandma's rice dish, cabbage saute
Friday - macaroni and cheese bake

I will give you the recipe for our brussel sprouts.
Fancy Brussels Sprouts
1 cup water
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
2 pints fresh brussels sprouts, halved or 2 packages(10 ounces each) frozen brussels sprouts
1 can(8 ounces) water chestnuts, drained
1 tablespoon butter or margarine

In a saucepan over medium heat, bring water, parsley, sugar and salt to a boil. Add brussels sprouts. Cover and simmer for 6-8 minutes or until tender; drain. Add water chestnuts and butter; heat through.

Yield: 6 servings

These brussles sprouts are so tasty, even my kids will eat them.
